The Central Bank of Ireland’s internal IT department needed a new brand identity which would reflect its innovative new technology and premises at the Dublin Docklands campus.

navigatebydesign were commissioned to design an entirely new visual identity for the internal IT department at the Central Bank of Ireland. The main objective was to improve visibility internally of the work the IT department does, to build on the positive experience of moving to their new premises and to reflect the enhanced technology which improves the staff work experience.

The new MyIT identity needed to give a professional and identifiable image for improved communications campaigns both internally and externally.

The brand also needed to be appropriate for the audience; the staff is mixed with a high concentration of academics, economists, lawyers, banking, and IT professionals. Additionally, it needed to work alongside the Central bank of Ireland logo and sit with a suite of six sub brands.

The final MyIT identity features a minimal, fresh and honest logo type, which like the IT department, brings clarity to any situation. The six sides of the hexagonal shape represent the six internal sub brands and is reflective of
a button, suggesting a swift response from the IT team.

The rollout included internal and external communications including weekly and monthly performance PowerPoint template decks, email
sign-off, pop-up banners and brand guidelines.
